Hurricane Katrina Relief

AMERICAN COUNCIL OF THE BLIND OF MARYLAND

RESOLUTION 2005-1:

HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF

WHEREAS, numerous members of the American Council of the Blind who reside in the states of Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi have been displaced by Hurricane Katrina, and

WHEREAS, the state affiliates of the American Council of the Blind located in the states of Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi may suffer financial hardship as a result of Hurricane Katrina,

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the American Council of the Blind of Maryland meeting in convention in Baltimore, Maryland this day, November 6, 2005, authorizes the treasurer to transfer funds from this organization’s treasury to the following entities in the amounts specified:

Alabama Council of the Blind $150
Louisiana Council of the Blind $150
Mississippi Council of the Blind $150
